Monica Anghel has the distinction of being both a national treasure and an international phenomenon she is one of the most beloved Romanian artists in Romania, she was born on June the 1st 1971 under the zodiacal sign of the Gemini having a lot of artistic charisma.
She made her debut at the age of 14, being awarded 1st prize at one of the most important festivals, which is held on the seaside every summer in Romania. That is why Monica was present at each edition of the Creation Section performing on stage the best compositions.
Monica has been in the United States where she greatly improved her vocal technique.
She also has received the FIDOF trophy at Lahti (Finland) Festival.
Another extremely important step in her career is that she had shows with Ray Charles and Sydney Youngblood where she was greatly appreciated for her beautiful and powerful voice.
She has been asked to perform in many TV shows and talk shows.
In April 1995 she released an LP and an audio cassette.
In January 1996 she won the national Eurovision selection by performing the song "Prayer for the peace of the world" written by Mr. Cornel Fugaru.
In June 1996 she released a very successful CD and an audio cassette. In that same year she won the trophy at the Golden Stag Festival in Brasov (Romania), after which she was invited to perform the opening gala of the Cairo Song Festival.
In 1997 she participated in Australia at the "South Pacific Festival" and she won the trophy and the first prize in the pop section, as well as the first prize for the best composition of the song "Tell me" composed by one of the greatest Romanian composer’s Mr. Cornel Fugaru, lyrics by Mrs. Mirele Fugaru and Mrs. Delia Tugui.
Monica Anghel has personality, ambition, charm and last but certainly not least a one of the greatest voice you ever heard.
